Aviators Network provides RADSL
Aviators Network is now able to provide Rate Adaptive DSL on both its Home 500 USB and the Network 500 ADSL connections.

Rate Adaptation, extends the reach of ADSL by slightly reducing the upstream bit-rate on circuits that are over 3.5km from the serving exchange. The downstream data speed remains unchanged. The upstream speeds typically range from 64kbps to 250kbps depending on line traffic and distance from the local exchange

From today all new orders for ADSL Network 500 and ADSL Home 500 USB will now be provided as Rate Adaptive. For existing users up to 3.5km from a DSL exchange, the specification of service remains unchanged. End Users approximately 3.5km to 5.5km from a DSL equipped local exchange, previously out of range of any DSL service, will now be able to order ADSL - dependent on line conditions.
