Customer servers are hosted in our advanced NOC (Network Operations Center) in London's docklands, close to Canary Wharf and connected to Telehouse via a 6 Gigabit link, which ensures connection to the heart of the UK Internet infrastructure, and robust service. In addition we can provide monitoring of your leased line and router upon request, with alerts sent to you via email or even SMS.

Pricing is calculated according to space to taken in our racks to house your server, plus the connectivity (bandwidth) required for the services you intend to run.

The standard industry measurement for rackspace is per 'U'. Racks are 19 inches wide, and 1 U is a measurement of height roughly equivalent to 1 3/4 inches. So if you have a standard rack-mountable server, it may be 1, 2, 3 or more U high. We strongly recommend purchasing rack-mountable servers, as they will be cheaper for you to co-locate, and are designed with 'headless' or 'lights-out' operation in mind. This means they are more easily manageable remotely, and are not usually connected to a monitor or keyboard. In addition they usually run with more powerful cooling systems which make them more stable for longer periods of uptime.
